Girl Friends

Watch Claudia Weill’s charming portrait of a friendship between two young women navigating the ups and downs of life after college in New York City with the Rivoli Theater Coalition. Weill captures this relationship in all its messiness and complexity with sensitivity and nuance against the backdrop of New York in the 1970s.

We’ll be screening this essential work of American independent cinema at the Pendleton Center for the Arts on Thursday, August 29th at 6:00pm with a facilitated conversation after the film. Free admission, $10.00 suggested donation.

Desert Hearts

Join us for a screening of Donna Deitch’s queer cinema landmark, Desert Hearts on May 30th at the Pendleton Center for the Arts! Among the first queer films to offer its protagonists a happily ever after, Desert Hearts is a film radical in its simplicity and its refusal to define its characters through their sexuality. We’ll host a facilitated discussion after the film.

Free admission, suggested donation $10.
